Text Box: The previous games in the series have been very good and largely successful, however this is in 3D, which is new to the worms audience. But is it good or bad?
Text Box: To begin with, the changeover to 3D has worked, and the game runs so smoothly, you don't even notice a difference from the previous Worms games. Apart from of course, the nice graphics and lush textures, which really make the latest instalment in the Worms series stand above the rest.
From the point at which you turn it on, you are treated to a bright and vibrant title screen, featuring a globe, much like the one pictured on the Worms World Party PC box. From the title screen you can either view the options, engage in a quick match, play single player, or the multiplayer. Quick match is fun if you only have ten minutes to play on the game, it automatically selects a team and a map for you, allowing you to just play randomly and quickly, which is a crucial option really and adds lots of extra gameplay time.

Text Box: The single player plays exceptionally well. There are so many missions, which include tutorials, which is only necessary for newbies to the Worms universe. Then there is the campaign menu, which is superb. Many of the missions are set around historic events, such as D-Day on 'wormaha beach,' and the Titanic sinking. These are done surprisingly well, and although obviously not realistic, they play very well, and it makes you feel so involved.

Text Box: Cons:
1. Annoying camera angles.
2. Very difficult at times.
3. No online multiplayer.
Text Box: Pros:
1. Funny audio.
2. Great Multiplayer
3. Heaps of options.
4. Maintains the 'worminess' we love.
Text Box: This game is so playable, has heaps of life and happily maintains the 'Worminess' we have come to know and love from the Team 17 Worms universe.
Score:
9.2
Text Box: But the game is not without it's flaws, some annoying camera angles, which although don't affect gameplay, do make it so you can't see mines and gaps in the floor beneath you unless you tilt it to a specific angle. Also a multiplayer mode online would have been very nice, but you can't have everything can you?
So overall, a very playable game, with a few minor flaws, which are just more annoying than anything and don't make the game any less playable
Text Box: The maps are far from shabby as well, featuring hollow submarines, blimps and warehouses for you to hide in. You can alter things about the map you are playing on, including weather, land mass and type of the terrain.
Another interesting option is the 'wormpot,' this is basically a fruit machine, which randomly selects 3 options for you, such as pistol weapon advantages, and longer ninja ropes. This is done very well, and you don't have to select the options randomly, you can just take your pick.
Text Box: Then, as usual, you can choose from a wide range of audio voices to go with your worms, also a gravestone, a secret weapon and of course the team name. Once you have made a team you can select a map. As well as choosing one of the unlocked maps, you can randomly generate maps as well, which must really push all of the formats to the limit.
Text Box: The other option in single player is the challenge mode. This features shotgun, jet pack and death match challenges, as well as some others, which in turn unlocks the level you have just played, to be used in multiplayer. Also unlockable are extra weapons and games settings/modes.
Of course though, the main selling point of the games is usually the multiplayer, and that is also true with the 3D version. To begin with, you can create a team of up to six worms.
