Game: Tomb Raider: Underworld   Pub: Eidos    Dev: Crystal Dynamics

Tomb Raider: Underworld DLC Dated - January 22nd 2009

The first piece of downloadable content for Eidos' underselling but much-loved Tomb Raider: Underworld has been confirmed for release on February 10th.

It is somewhat surprising to see the game getting additional content due to the less-than anticipated 1.5m sales at the last count. However, showing commitment to a product is a sure fire way to get people on board, so maybe this is the plan of Eidos. This content, the first of two packs completely exclusive to the Xbox 360 version of the game, is entitled Beneath the Ashes. The second is called Lara's Shadow, though details on that are scant, except for the date: March 10th.

In Beneath the Ashes, Lara returns to Croft Manor's shattered remains, beneath which are a network of secret caverns and crypts which have never previously been unearthed in the series. As well as this new adventure, you will get six costumes and 125 extra achievement points as an additional incentive.

We will be bringing you a review of Underworld in the coming weeks, but for now, anticipate the DLC with the screenshots on this page. No price has yet been announced.
